I don't usually pay attention to nurseries because it's not a room I frequently (or even hardly) think about. But I have a little secret . . . no, I'm not pregnant . . . I have a folder saved on my desktop where I save pictures of lovely nurseries I've seen. There aren't too many of them in there, but this one definitely made the cut.
Hello fabulous rug. Oh, abstract painting above the bed . . . don't mind if I do. And aren't the dramatic dark gray walls totally unexpected, but amazing?!
I love the simple roman shades and the couch. I kind of want that couch for my office -- I'd even take the fun pillow fabric too!

This room is definitely inspiring. Don't get me wrong, I love a good traditional nursery too, but this space is right up my alley.
This is indeed a gorgeous nursery! Love that rug :) Abbey x
ReplyDeleteIt's a very gorgeous room. I think it would work perfect for a multi-purpose room but strictly for a nursery it seems a little to 'adult'. In any case the room is still gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful room! This is a great design when needing a room to do double duty (office/nursery, guest room/nursery). I love the use of a sofa rather than another bed.
ReplyDeleteI love that room - and love that you have a folder for nurseries! Mom
ReplyDeleteI saw this on EOS too and I loved it! It blends sophistication and simplicity beautifully and gives those of us with small spaces ideas. That sofa looks easily convertible into a sofa bed for the occasional overnight sitter or house guests! I love it!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I pinned this immediately. Switch out that crib for a desk, its a nice office. I think the painting and that josef frank fabric are the two things that really make that space.
ReplyDeleteMan, I thought you were going to say you were pregnant! :) That nursery is gorgeous. You don't see many grey walls in nurseries.
ReplyDeleteOh, when and if there is ever a mini-Emily, I could completely see them having a nursery like this one! (c: I'm with you, I'm loving the sophistication of this space and the unexpected elements for a nursery...one lucky little tyke!
ReplyDeletelove the dark gray and the rug!! great find :)

Really pretty and so sophisticated. I love the white couch with the gray walls. You fooled me, too!
ReplyDeleteAgree with all of your comments! I love how they set up the room with the crib to the side, and the comfy comfy couch in the middle...looks great. I also love your secret folder :) I'm going to go ahead and pins these though!
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous room. Perfect too, because I think more time will be spend on that sofa than anywhere else. =)
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a stunning nursery. It's so sophisticated yet it seems to work as a nursery just fine. Lucky baby!!
ReplyDeleteAny room with a sweet baby in it is gorgeous! Gray would probably be pretty soothing for a baby since they really can't see that well at the beginning anyhow. I love the pops of color. I remember planning the nursery...sigh...
ReplyDeleteOh wow! the rug alone makes me giddy!! and LOVE the wall color.
ReplyDeleteI want that artwork!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I wish I could do just one more nursery ;) (probably not going to happen) Oh well... pinning it anyways!
ReplyDeleteCan I live in that nursery? I mean FOR REAL!!!!!!! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this nursery...I swear I just pinned it...love!
ReplyDeleteoh wow! What an elegant nursery you found! Definitely going to check out Elements of Style now!
